The Farm Report 4/25/24
AAA Scranton W 14-2
Caleb Durbin who started at 2nd base had another solid game. He was 2-5 with a double, his 9th of the year, an HR(2), 2 runs scored, 4 RBI and a walk. He is hitting .287 with a .900 OPS so far this season.
With Torres struggling so badly at the MLB level and DJ having a big setback Durbin could be in the Bronx sooner than later. Pereira was 1-5 with a double(5), a run scored, and 2 RBIs. He’s hitting .247 with a .930 OPS. Narvaez was 1-3 with an HR(2), 2 BB, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.
Clayton Beeter got the start and it was a solid one. 5IP, 6hits, 2 ER, 0BB, and 8 K’s and has a 3.63 ERA
AA Somerset L 5-0
Jones was 1-5 with 3 K”s, this was his 2nd night in a row and he’s now hitting .333 with a .913 OPS. Richardson was 2-3 with a BB. Seigler was 2-4 with a double(3) as you can see not a great night offensively for Somerset.
Trystan Vreiling started and had his first challenging start of his career. He went 5.1IP, 7hits, 5R, 4ER, 0BB and 7K’s. On the season he has 24IP, 12H, 6R, 5ER, only 6BB, and 25k’s and is pitching to a 1.88ERA. He should be in discussion for our top starting pitching prospect by the end of the year. He was part of the amazing 2022 draft class that included Thorpe, Hampton, Jones, Schlittler, and Fristoe.
A+ Hudson Valley L 6-0
Jared Serna had a good night going 2-4 with a double(2), 1 RBI, and 3 RS. Hopefully, this is the start of him breaking out of his slump.
Jesus Rodriguez just continues to hit no matter what position they have him playing. He was 2-4 with an RS, an RBI and a BB. He is hitting .307 with a .759 OPS. Martinez was 1-3 with an RBI and 2 BBs. He is hitting .300 with a .946 OPS. Flores was 1-3 with a double(4), 2 RBI and a BB.
Brian Hendry is off to an incredible start to his career, in 11IP he has yet to allow an ER. He has allowed just 6BB to 15 K’s and allowed just 6 H and no ER. He went 2IP, 1H, 2BB, and 4K’s.
Sellers followed him up with a strong outing going 3.2IP, 2H,OR, 2BB, 4SO lowering his ERA to 1.35 on the season
A Tampa L5-4
George Lombard was put on the 7-day IL today, no word what the injury is yet. Tejeda was 1-4 with an RS and a BB. Jasso was 2-6 with a double(4), RBI, and an RS

Cade Smith started and had a no-hitter through 4. He finished up going 6IP, 3H, 2ER,1BB, and 7SO and he has a 2.93 ERA on the year.
