After acquiring Juan Soto, Alex Verdugo and Marcus Stroman this offseason the New York Yankees made it
clear that they are all in this season. If they are serious about winning it all this year Cashman is going to need to
make a needle moving move. That move is getting Vladimir Guerrero Jr. With Baltimore only two games back in
the American League East this trade deadline is going to be crucial on who wins the division.

As the trade deadline looms Vladimir Guerrero Jr has changed his stance when it comes to the New York
Yankees. In 2022 Vladdy stated that he will play for the New York Yankees he has recently changed his stance after
talking to his dad Vladimir Guerrero Sr. “Like I tell you, I’m a player and if a team picks me or if they do
something, it’s because they need it, obviously, and I’ll be happy to help any team,” Guerrero told Virus Deportivo
on Monday.

Currently the Blue Jays are in last place in the American League East and are 16 games back from the New
York Yankees. As for the Yankees they are in desperate need of a first baseman and designated hitter after injuries to
Anthony Rizzo and Giancarlo Stanton. Adding Guerrero will help this struggling lineup, Guerrero currently has a
.288 AVG, .368 OBP and .803 OPS with 10 homeruns on the season. If the Yankees are all in, this is the move that
Brian Cashman needs to make. With so many teams being in contention for the wildcard in both the American
League and National League it narrows down the teams that will be willing to sell.

Trading for Guerrero who is set to be a free agent in 2026 is already going to cost a lot. Especially for the
Yankees being in the same division. Good thing for the Yankees if they wanted to trade for Vladimir Guerrero Jr
they have the prospects to do so. The Yankees have an abundance of catchers like Ben Rice, Agustine Ramierez,
and Jesus Rodriguez in the system that they can send to Toronto. The Yankees also have a gold glove caliber first
baseman who is blocked in T.J. Rumfield. One area that the Blue Jays are lacking in their farm system is MLB
ready starting pitching. With the Yankees starting rotation being crowded they can include players like Chase
Hampton, Will Warren, Brock Selvedge and Clayton Beeter.

If the Toronto Blue Jays are accepting calls on Vlad I am calling to see what it will cost. I think this is a win
now move that the Yankees need to make especially with only one guaranteed year of Juan Soto. The bright lights
of New York will not affect Vlad in my opinion because he will not have to be the guy with Judge and Soto being in
the lineup. Not only will it help this year if the Yankees trade for Guerrero it also allows you to walk away from
Rizzo next season and you have your first baseman for the 2025 season. With how Rizzo looked before this injury
might be a blessing in disguise for the Yankees.

If I were Brian Cashman my trade proposal would consist of Will Warren, Chase Hampton, TJ Rumfield
and Jesus Rodriguez. In this deal the Blue Jays get two MLB ready arms in Will Warren

and Chase Hampton.

You
can plug in T.J. Rumfield,

who can replace Guerrerro at first base. Rumfield is a gold glove caliber first baseman
and is hitting .303 batting average with an OPS of .820 and seven home runs in triple A. Jesus Rodriguez is a
catching prospect that the Blue Jays can develop.

He is currently in double A and hitting .327 batting average with
an OPS of .916 and six home runs. Vladimir Guerrero Jr is going to cost a lot and it is unlikely this trade will
happen but Brian Cashman has surprised us before with a trade no one expected.
